Ferrari will renew his entire line-up this year, except for the Purosangue and New 12Cilindri

Ferrari is ready for powerful variants of his bestsellers as part of a product offensive that will almost completely renew its line-up in 2025.

Incoming are aggressive versions of the Roma, 296, and SF90 sports cars, which will arrive next to the already revealed F80, a LaFerrari successor.

They will become a member of the new V12-driven 12cilindri and Purosangue SUV-through which, as it is currently, will be the only Ferrari who will not receive a new variant in 2025.

The Performance Push comes when the Italian company starts the last phases of the structure on the launch of its long -awaited First EV, which will debut on Ferrari’s Capital Markets Day on October 9 on October 9 on October 9.

The attack of new models is a change of strategy for Ferrari, which is not aimed to improve its sales volumes (usually slightly less than 14,000 annually), but instead product mix is diversified – selling a larger number of model lines, but each in smaller numbers.

“We don’t want to do any models with many volumes,” said CEO Benedetto Vigna. “We believe that this is a bit against the desirability and does not meet our strategy to always become a luxury brand more and more.”

This is what to expect in 2025 …

Roma to get M treatment

The production of the Roma Coupé ended last year, but it is being renewed and revived for 2025.

Prototypes of his successor seem remarkably comparable in Silhouette, which suggests that it is less revolution and more evolution for the new model.

It is set to follow the Portofino -Cabriolet when getting the Modificata (M) treatment, with revised styling, an aggressive chassis setup and an extra dose of power.

To this end, it is possible that Ferrari will make up for the shortage for the more powerful Aston Martin Vantage and the Porsche 911 Turbo by bringing it to around 650 hp.

It is expected that it will be unveiled in the coming months and the first cars will probably land in the UK before the end of the year. This is followed by a spider version.

First EV to offer ‘lots of fun’

It is difficult to overestimate the importance of Ferrari’s first EV, which will remove the critical element that almost each of the brand cars have defined for 80 years: a motorcycle.

Prototypes that have been spotted so far have used old Maserati Levante bodies, which suggests that the new model could be a higher driving behavior in the form of the Purosangue, Ferrari’s first SUV.

Electrification does indeed fit this configuration because the mounting of batteries under the floor of a vehicle requires extra ground freedom, which increases it to an SUV typical height.

Of course, Ferrari cannot use the typical ‘skateboard’ design, but instead centralize the mass around the front or rear axle. This would offer a weight distribution to mirror that of the existing models for the front and mid-engine.

Anyway, the priority of the brand is that drivers “have a lot of fun,” said CEO Benedetto Vigna recently. “If we do electric cars, we will produce them in the right way,” he added.

296 to get more hardcore focus

The more aggressive version of the Ferrari 296-a sports car that has earned a five-star AutoCar Road test in Standard Guise-has a lot to realize, in the footsteps of the much-praised 488 pista and the 458 special.

It is expected that this will generally take the same formula as those cars, with a smidge of extra power and remarkable weight reduction to improve its rough pace.

For reference, the 458 Specialle won 35 hp and lost 90 kg compared to the Italy on which it was based, which improved the powerful ratio by almost 50 hp or 13%. A similar treatment would give the harder new 296 around 630 hp per ton. In comparison with the 557 hp of the existing car per ton, that is almost exactly corresponding to the ratio of the now discovered SF90 Stradale.

Images of prototypes that are recorded in the neighborhood of Ferrari’s Maranello -based in Italy suggest that the more hardcore 296 is also in line to receive a series of aerodynamic tweaks. These include a prominent Duck-Bill spoiler at the back and what seems to be a more prominent front splitter.

Ferrari’s flagship SF90 Supercar is also due to the M treatment. The outgoing 986 hp SF90 had been left slightly in the Wapenrecloop for more strength – with the new Lamborghini Revuelto the apart with 1001 hp – so it is expected that Ferrari will rise.

The SF90 M most likely uses the changed version of the Twin-Turbo 4.0-litre V8 and plug-in hybrid set-up of the track-oriented SF90 XX, which releases a bombastic 1016BHP.

That would be enough to shade the Revuelto, the fastest accelerating car that can be seen in an Autocar road test.

Technical changes will probably also focus on cutting out as much weight as possible. The SF90’s 1570 kg of dry weight (1698 kg as tested on the road) hinded its on-limit handling, especially in comparison with the lighter 296 GTB.

Targeted revisions such as these can be the key to release the underlying potential that has been clear since the debut in the SF90.
