The favorite celebrity Bald Eagle -Stel of South California, Jackie and Shadow, are almost welcome to welcome their third and final Eaglet.

A live camera special from Friends or Big Bear Valley (FBBV) laid the “PIP movement” in the third egg around 10:21 am, according to the Facebook post of the non -profit organization on Thursday afternoon. Video of the Pip, a slight tear in the eggshell that is the first sign that a chick is trying to breed, shows the two brothers and sisters of the incoming eagets playing in the snow and apparently the clamping.

By 9:07 am on Friday, the PIP site of the third egg had grown and there was movement, according to the live feed from FBBV.

“Shutters is a long process. It can take a day or more before the chick comes out of the Shell completely, “said FBBV’s Facebook message. “We expect sunny weather tomorrow. Just in time for the new Chick3! “

When did Jackie and Shadow’s two other eggs come out?

Jackie and Shadow welcomed their two other Eaglets on Monday before midnight and early Tuesday.

“The last few days have been full of excitement and joyful tears, while we witnessed our loved one, Jackie and Shadow, become parents again,” said FBBV on Thursday morning in a Facebook message. “Mama and dad have done great to ensure that both newly released chicks are well fed, stay warm and protected against the elements.”

Video made by the FBBV shows Jackie and Shadow preparing for a snowstorm that was finally touched on Thursday afternoon.

“Again, Jackie and Shadow continued to work together and were preparing in advance,” said the non -profit organization about the snowstorm in the Facebook post. “The chicks were powered as much as their little crops could hold and the nest was full of soft lint. While the snow started to fall, Shadow landed on the Hoge Baars to check Jackie and the children. ‘

The Bald Eagles managed to survive the storm while preparing for the last member of their family to come out.

“Parenthood is finally here again for this beautiful pair and it certainly suits them,” said the FBBV in the Facebook post. “This new adventure has only just begun, so hold on to the Ride Eagle family. There we go! “

What happened to Jackie’s and Shadow’s Eggs last year?

Last year the Bald Eagle purple missed the 35-day breeding window for a few days, according to FBBV.

Sandy Steers, executive director of FBBV, told USA Today in March 2024 that height and temperature possible in the eggs of the pair that does not come out.

“We are not talking about why the eggs did not come out,” said Steers. “It can be the environment, such as temperatures, humidity percentages, oxygen levels at high altitude, etc. It can be biological with something that just went out when the eggs were created.”

Jackie and Shadow welcomed chicks in 2019 and 2022, but lost eggs in 2023 and 2024.

The couple laid their current harvest of eggs on January 22, January 25 and January 28, according to the FBBV.
